Back of enigne foreign piece....

So today I go to remove my valve cover to ge tpainted and remove flywheel to resurface. I go ahead and start ripping apar tmy emissions.!st off there is extra vaccum lines on the back of the engine. O well removign them ayways so Just yanked them off. But then I get to the last thing.It goes into the back of the intake mani at runner #4. It has a plunger type device that's vaccum was hooked up to the fpr. Engines are sitting 2ft apart.My old one doesn't have it. This one does. I went ahead and took it off, but there is still the rod with most likely a valve that still goes inside my intake mani.Does anyone know what I'm talking about???I can take pics tomorrow.

i belive its the swirl control valve, and it opens the secondary butterflies in the upper intake manifold yup it can go

Yeah, he's right... first engine must be an s14 engine with OBDII.. they don't have the secondary butterflies.. it can go.. just make sure the hole is plugged...but if you take that off, you probably have to take the secondary butterflies off too, or I'd imagine they'd stay closed....

1st engine is stock 93 ka....2nd engine is 91 ka

Nope, they stay open, but you should still yank them.

Oh yeah, make sure that you plug the holes from runner to runner or else the car will idle like crap.
