Ok,

So It's been six years since I've messed around with a 240..

I know how many people are against this conversion yada yada, but along time ago I built the front end of the 240sx to the r33 series 1. Now I just bought the car back after it went through two owners, and I'd like to complete this project!

Motorwise, it's getting my built rb26det block and head and a T04z mated to a z32 hybrid trans.

Front end needs some cleaning up, however I'd like to finish the rear if anyone has completed the rear and what tips or tricks they can give me.

And I am friends with Starkos14, so I know what he did, now I'd like to see if anyone else has completed this conversion and how they attempted it.

Here are pictures back from the hey day when it just rolled out of the body shop and I was all a newbie to cars...

Not too bad for a first timer back in 05.. but now it's in some what bad shape, no 5 lugs.. I have to convert it back to five lug again, missing a ton of random things off it, and definitely needs a good amount of work.

I'll post some pictures up again when I actually start on the project, right now it's just jammed in a storage unit engineless and beat up.

Oh.. the motor that's going into the s14.. Image

I'm not usually a fan of conversions, but that actually doesn't look too bad. If it were me, I'd just leave the rear alone... but like I said, I don't really like conversions. Whatever you do, good luck!

Thanks,

I did the conversion right, it has a r33 radiator support and the r33 fenders and the r33 bumper support, r33 hood, r33 bumper. They are alll OEM pieces so all metal. no fiberglass parts.

But I been juggling that idea like you said, keep the rear stock, switch to the LED tail lights, and just keep it that way. I definitely love the way the rear looks on a 240 with the LED or Kouki tail light setup. But you know, I like the challenge and it would be nice to complete the look some what.

Thanks again.

it looks clean in the front... imo the rear never comes out as clean tho... if you do the whole conversion it kinda gives it the WHY NOT just buy an R33... at least one or the other end gives it a diff taste

oh btw otterball, your car is super clean, i wish mine was as clean, im sure if you do the rear end conversion proper, it would look great! and i thought about putting the r33 rear bumper on the 240sx with minor modifications just a weird imagination that ive been picturing in my head for the longest time, but it will throw a bit ZING and PEP into the look, but just my theory, oh and i love your color :D!!!!!!
