Hey all.

Ill try to keep this short, Ive owned many nissans in the past and 2 s13s back about 10 years ago. I have a soft spot for the s13 and I had put so much work into 1 of my old ones. I had swapped an SR20det in one of them and it was all fast and crap back then. It was the first car I got into modding cars with.

Anyways, I always said I would get another s13 hatch at some point and I wanted a real JDM car because of the sr20det from the factory.

I was surfing the web and nostalgia pretty much hit me in the face with a 180sx that was all too familiar. So I finally decided that this was the car I was getting after looking for about 2 years for either a 180sx or silvia. I always believed I never should of sold my original s13 hatch that I had. Loved the car and sold it like an idiot. So when this came across it was just a match made in heaven to get back in the s13 game.

Some info on the car

Its a gold 180sx with 75k original miles on it. Its all stock (or was I will explain that). It was Originally an Auto, 5 speed swapped early in its life I have been informed (all factory parts though and it looks flawlessly swapped, cant even tell it was auto except the gauges showing an O/D light). It is a SUPER Hicas car unfortunetly, but It drives fine, im debating to put in the eliminator kit or not. I have it already if i do want Hicas gone. We believe it was garaged its entire life and sat for the last 10 years not doing anything based on the inside of the gas tank.

After driving it around 600 miles of new fuel it started hesitating its AFRs badly. I pulled the pump out and HOLY RUST BUCKET inside. It looked like sludge and mud in the gas tank, no wonder it was stalling. So I had that sent out for hot boil and got a new pump, filter and cleaned the lines. However in the process of that I figured I should fix the turbo gasket that is leaking and making noise. I had to cut out the original exhaust due to rust (so now I have a brand new aftermarket exhaust on it). So I did change out the exhaust to aftermarket but I kept the dual tip look to try and stay original looking.

I do all my work myself If I can, its just a hobby. This is just another toy for me to tinker on and add to my collection that I'm finally building up slowly.

That thing does look great. Hard to believe the gas tank and exhaust were so rusty with a body and engine bay that looks that good.
Hopefully you didn't get any rust and junk in the injectors.
