well

my first z was a 78; and it was falling apart and rotted beyond what someone with no bodywork equipment and experience has.

so bout 4 months ago i saw this car for sale; had no were too keep it and he was asking a bit much

but when i saw it listed again, i figured why not go and look at it again.

83 280zx turbo

spent all but the last four years in arizona; the floors are rediculously clean, there is one spot of surface rust on the rai which i will address immediately. its a bit banged up, paint is faded to hell, and interior is baked and gross but, mechanically its all there. it runs a little rough, but hasnt seen daily action in two or three years.
i bought it for the l28et, as ive never been a fan of s130s but, after driving one, its sorta fun. things that must go are the automatic; thats lame.

total price: 700 bucks, not a steal by any means, but it was acceptable and i couldnt pass up the opportunity for something with so little rust. i was originally interested in just the motor, and i was going to part it out, but it really is pretty clean.

enough babble.

pics.

146k on the motor; i havent had time to tinker with it at all; i need to get rid of some stuff and pay my tuition before i make any progress.

discuss.....

nice. not the biggest fan of those style compared to other z's but That's clean. I'd probably pick one up if I had a good shot. Last guy I saw with one paid $1200.
