Back glass compatibility

The back glass on my '90 is delaminating across the top and since it's coming out for a complete repaint I would like to replace it with one that's in good condition. All the parts interchange information I can find says '90-'93 are the same and '94'-96 are the same - I know the basic body shell didn't change so the window should physically fit all '90-'96 models. I'm guessing the difference has something to do with the defroster, or an antenna in the glass, or something like that. I'm also aware that the tint in the glass came in different shades depending on the color of the car, which isn't something I'm concerned about. Does anyone have any knowledge of what the differences might be between the early and late back glass?

I'm in agreement that the back glass differences between Gen 1 and Gen 1.5 are cosmetic.

Can't imagine trying to find a replacement though!
