I spent the day in Indy at the PRI trade show. Got to talk face to face with a lot of my vendors which was nice. Our 1248whp MKIV Supra was in the AEM booth getting gawked at which was really cool. I had dinner with Jason from AEM and got an update on the S14 AEM EMS. Retail units are in production and will be shipped to dealers SOON.

The biggest news was for me was Crower's interest in the KA. They are now offering rods, SS oversize valves, REV kit (springs, Titanium retainers and keepers) and 5 (yes I said FIVE) different cam grinds. One of the cam grinds is actually for boosted applications. I have the new catalog with part numbers and specs but no pricing yet. Brian Crower said he will call me when he is back from PRI and get me the details.

Its awesome that the KA is finally getting the attention it deserves.

Yes, and its sweet. The paint job is just awesome. I spent quite a bit of time checking out the craftsmanship that goes into building a drag car from scratch and was in awe. We were actually supposed to go to dinner with Nero (Titan's owner) but restaurants were so packed we ended up getting split up.

Have you heard anything on a S13 EMS? Good news too. Cams sound pretty interesting.

Good stuff. When is all of the Crower stuff going to be available? 240 is coming next month and is going in for a full build and head job. Would be great to use oversized vavles and the REV kit also. Any idea on Lift/Dur. of those boost cams?

The S13 EMS has been released for some time now. I have sold quite a few units. I just placed an order last tuesday that brought the 30-1600 stock at AEM to one left.

Is Crower doing anything for the SOHC? Or is this for the DOHC only?

When are you going to convince Larry to build an all out drag car....or is Marko's mid 8sec daily driven supra enough right now?

Im really happy to see Crower jumping on the bandwagon and will hopefully be able to pickup a set of cams from them when they come out, but some specs would be nice too.

The shop will probably never build an all out drag car. SP01 is about as close as it will get. We are in the process of building some dedicated drag only cars for customers, but shop cars will always be street worthy.

Since Gary doesnt want to campaign SP02 any more (the car I used to race) I decided to build my own car. Thats what my S14.5 is all about. Hopefully my car will run better numbers then all our shop cars anyway

Hey Ivan, sorry to hear Larry never wants to stup up to the plate :P

Maybe once we get Ralphs Supra back out this summer and start posting some low 8sec runs he will build something to of his own to compete

I just picked up Turbo magazine with Gary's car in it...good to see you guys getting some well deserved respect.

Thanks Rick,

We actually have 5 cars in that magazine. Gary's car, The MKIII featured right before that has our MKIII turbo kit on it, Lar's car is pictured in the SILV event pix staged and ready to blast down the 1/4, Marko's car and engine are pictured and the stats of him winning the unlimited event in his street car are shown, and in the ebay challange article, the red fox body mustang for Rod Short is a car we worked on and prepared for the challange. Overall, the magazine did a good job of representing what we do here. I am looking forward to getting some KA-T exposure this next year.

KA parts for all. Thats great to hear the KA is getting some major after market support now. It will be a even meaner truck engine now.

Thanks for the grunt work Ivan. It's nice to have a community full of gear heads. You working for SP gets you in on the ground floor with alot of the retailers and often you'll be able to influence the market. Your doing a good job so far, don't start slacking 8)

Oh yeah, hurry up with the next set of pics and some decent updates. I want to see the paint job.

Thanks WD and all. I am trying to make a difference in the KA community. Here are the updates.

I have two sets of turbo cams on order. One set is for a built motor I am working on. The other is going into the twins S31 for evaluation and dyno testing.

I have two sets of rods on the way also. One set for my motor and one for the above mentioned built motor.

Springs and retainers arent availble yet but I will have the first set when they finally do arrive at Crower.

The twins car is up and running again. I was tired of swapping stock motors in and out of the car so this motor has some upgrades to keep the ring lands from cracking.here is the short list:Arais forged pistons 8.8crstock rods shotpeened and modified for ARP BBC boltsCometic MLS gasketARP head and main studs95lb injectorsGT 35 turbo

I have already had it out on the street getting some miles on it and the drivability is awesome. I havent noticed any appricable difference in low end due to the CR change. Later this week, we will strap it to the dyno and see how things turn out.

My personal car is still in the body shop. The body has been painted but the hood, mirrors, door handles, gas door, front and rear bumpers still need paint. I believe they are going to get painted tomorrow. The glass is going back in the car Thursday.

Stay tuned. Hopefully this week I will have some nice posts, pix, dyno sheets, vids, etc for everybody to enjoy.
