life is great down in the land of the free!!

It felt so good to get away from the city and into no-mans-land. No cell phones, no email, no electricity, NOTHING!! 300 miles away from the nearest USA cell phone reception and 80 miles away from the nearest roaming area!!

this was around the 350 mile mark for the Baja 1000 that was one week ago. i stole a few of the SCORE "wrong way - do not remove" signs as mementos

i love this one - the trusty old QX4 is waiting for the busted down Toyotas to clear the trail (what else is new??)

Thanx for viewing!

We went to Cabo and rented a Jeep Cherokee and a guide for the day to explore the mountains in the area. I don't see a 2WD making it through any of the arroyos (river beds) that we drove. Our Jeep had 33x12.5 tires and we needed them to stay afloat in the soft shifting sand.

I love those BFG All-terrains. We have them on our Jeep Wrangler and they go everywhere!

if youre high horsepower and light weight, you can make it in a 2wd. Locker recommended. (most baja trucks are 2wd) For something like a Q, i recommend 4wd.... i got stuck in 2wd about 5 times but all i had to do was click it into 4x4 and it pulls right out!!
