ok did the search. All vacume lines good replaced a few of them. Put new gaskets on the throttle body. i have a 91 240sx. When i mash the gas it sputters like hell for about 3 sec then the rpm shoot up fast. When i mash the gas 5 times out of ten it will back fire through the intake . i have no clue to what might even cause this on a fuel injected motor :help

Cam timing sounds off. Maybe you jumped a tooth on the timing chain.

Sry about the lack of info. i have close to 110,000 mile on the car.i can change the timeing chain and all my self. Will i need any special tool besides a timeing light. and a link that sells the timeing chain kit would be helpful i would like to up grade it some if possable.and can the timeing be adjusted by the disturbter like the older cars. The water pump and crank pully all belts fan shroud fan blades is all that comes .If not add your info please. I think the only problem ill have is with the setting the timeing on the money any info on that would help also thanks again.

Well i didnt know what to do to it really i just took a chance.i read some of the other threads and found folks where haveing problems simler to what i was haveing, but not all the systoms.

Well what i done was replaced the oxygen senser, and plug wires.and turned the idle adjustment all the way in and out then set it.Then i adjusted the timeing a little ,then adjusted the idleing again.

And holely **** it worked .Hell it runs better than when i bought it.and if the is a 1/4 delay in throttle response i cant tell cause it just goes.

Thanks for all the great info. its always helpful

;)
