Everytime I go over a bump in my 240, the back end seems to sway to the right. If i take a corner too sharp, mostly right hand turns, but it does occur occasionally on left hand turns, my rear end starts to hop and it feels like the tires don't want to stay on the ground. I don't believe either of my rear struts are blown, so what could my problem be?

I don't think an alignment would be the problem, my car goes perfectly straight down the road, and the wheel hopping only occurs around right turns...

Sounds like struts. Try pushing down on that corner of the car pretty hard so it compresses the suspension a bit. If when you let go the car bounces up and down for a while before returning to rest then your struts are worn out. Also you could check your sway bar maybe.

thast what i was thinking scott, i already checked my struts in that fashion, and they both seemed to be ok in the rear, and both in the front were ok too, but that method isnt the most accurate way to check them either. I haven't checked my sway bar, but I'm going to today.

sway bar checked out, but the right rear strut has 3 nicks in the metal shiny bar that goes into the strut body, i don't know the exact name, but I'm sure you all know what im refering to, could this cause my problem? I didnt see any fluid leaks from my strut so I think they are not blown
