YES a car seat will fit in the back seat.... i was babysitting my friends lil baby for a couple of hours one day and had to leave my house to go somewhere real quick. So I tried putting the car seat in thru the passenger side with the seat ALL the way up, and it DID fit... it may take you a couple times tho to get the hang of the right angle to put it in, but yes it will fit. no need to trade in the a/c... and congrats on the baby...

It will definately fit. I have a 16 month old and my infant car seat ft just fine. Little tricky getting it in and out but before you know it you will be in a bigger car seat and it won't be a problem.

CONGRATS.

Yeah, you are GTG. I have a 4 month old and it is tricky to get it in and out but you figure it out real quick. I have the Evenflo infant car seat with the base. The base is a life saver. One thing, if your passenger is tall. They will not have a comfortable ride. My 5'7 wife has no complaints when she rides with me. Even with these rough roads in VA, the baby is always sound asleep back there. Congratulations on the baby and learn to swaddle.

What I've done with like big boxes is lay the passenger seat all the way back instead of foward. Theres more room to squeeze something in that way

You'll be good dude. I brought my niece from Spring Valley which is about a 4 hour drive. She's 2 1/2 years old. I put her car seat behind the passangers seat. I even moved the seat foward so she will not rub her shoes behind my leather seat. My wife and I drove back to LA. My wife had no problems at all with the space the car seat and the extra space I put for the babies shoes. She's about 5'6 or 7" as well. All in all you'll be alright dude. The A/C is safe for the car seat, the baby, your wife and you .

It was a PITA to get this set. I ordered them through the dealer at $790 a piece. They look WAY BETTER now that I painted them. I just haven't had my car to go out for a photo shoot. When I get her back it's my first thing to do.

Congratulations on your baby brother. Once I got mine I put new tires on and rode them for a few days. Took a few pictures then had by friend who owns a body shop paint them the same color of the car and throw a red line on the lip area. That made them look really nice .

A baby seat, and now car seat, has been a permanent fixture in my car since day 1. For the baby seat, it was always on the passenger side due to the east slide forward. The car seat sits behind the drivers seat, because its more of a perma-mounted thing. One of the best feelings in the world is when my 4yo is sitting behind me and says "daddy, i wanna go fast! make the car go VROOM"

one thing to keep in mind about systems....unless you plan on taking out all the foam molding and stuff in the trunk, there is only about 11" of space between the bottom of the molding and the carpet.

Really sorry to bring up a 4 year old post but thought it was relevant. I have baby on the way in a matter of a couple of weeks and getting a little nervous of how our car seat is going to fit. For what it's worth, the car seat we have (Britax B Safe http://www.britaxusa.com/car-seats/b-safe) is on the list of compatible car seats with the Altima Coupe (https://owners.nissanusa.com/content/te ... nglish.pdf). My question is where people have actually placed the base/seat. In the middle, behind the driver, or behind the passenger? Any tips on getting the seat in as easy as possible or pics of your car seat set up is also appreciated. Thank you.

I have the exact same seat installed on the rear passenger side, you can just use the LATCH connectors. Just make sure to put weight on the base before you tighten up the straps.
