B16 Sentra headlights/tail lights-need info on taking them a part

Just wondering if anyone has taken a part their headlights or tail lights to paint the chrome housing a different color? I specifically need to know how these are glued together and if throwing them in the oven for a few minutes will allow the pieces to come a part.

From what I have seen, it looks like they are hard glued together, unlike other headlights/tail lights that are glued together with a caulking type of adhesive (that is easy to heat up and tear a part)

Any ideas or insight on this? Anyone taken them a part? Is it easy? Does the hard glue come a part with some heat thrown on them?

And NO i will not BUY anything. I am cheap and I would rather do a DIY and save myself the 100+ bucks in getting new tail lights and head lights. So don't debate with me on this matter.
