Anyone know if I can drop in the oem rockford fosgate radio in place of my 2007 sentra 2.0s radio? I found one on ebay and the radio looks like it would plug right up. I know the rockford fosgate complete system has 2 more speakers, but are the wiring plus the same?

I'm just looking to have a radio with mp3 and sat (xm) capability and also keep the trip computer and steering wheel controls. I don't want to goto an aftermarket radio, or at least not yet.

Make sure you get the whole system if you are going to do that. There are differences in the computer and fuses of the Fosgate premium system. Also, make sure you get the Amp for the premium system.

I don't know if I can find the entire system. I was thinking the amp was probably just for the 2 extra speakers/subs. Do you know if the amp is really for the main speakers too? I can get the amp but I'll probably need the wiring between the two and also the subharnes to the trunk for the xm module if I decide to go that route. I was really hoping to just drop in the radio for now.

Anyone want to sell their complete rf system, or know where I can get one?

To be honest, if you are going for just the XM compatibility, you are better off just getting an external satellite radio module. With the purchase you should be able to get free install and you also get a year or more of free subscription. It has recording capabilities and transportation capability also, I would think it is the better route.

The Fosgate system runs from the single external amplifier which makes it really different from the stock system in the 2.0 B16 etc. These systems run from an internal source which is why it runs the low wattage 6 speaker system. You would without a doubt need the new amp to run the Fosgate system because those speakers need that wattage or they won't output properly.

Actually... I'm thinking of going a different route now... By checking out the FSM it looks like I can add xm to the current mid grade system. THe current radio has the connector (I think... may have to pull the radio to confirm. My car was not pre wired for this so I'll have to find a harness to go from the radio connector to the truck. Then I just need the tuner module and the antenna.

I was told I needed the Fosgate system to add sat, but it looks like the only reason for that is that the fosgate system includes the trunk harness to add sat.

Actually it shouldn't be that hard... the 2.0S (midgrade) radio has the connector and it looks like you can get a harness from:

http://www.nissanipod.com/stor....aspx

They emailed me and said this harness should work, it just wont reach to the trunk so I'd have to mount the xm tuner in the dash. Then alls I need is an antenna!
