Unfortunately my first post on this board is in the mechanic's area. Anyway, the SES/CEL light came on last night driving home. Drove perfectly normal and I was going to check the codes the next day. I started it up this morning and the light was still on. No biggie, backed out of my driveway and started going forward in first gear, shifted to second and it didn't gain speed, even at WOT. Turned around and barely made it up the driveway. Now it won't even go past 1500 rpm. I pulled the codes by counting the flashes and I got a 221 and 223. Both point towards the TPS. It looks like some other sentras had this problem and it was either the TPS, ECM, or MAF. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?

Unfortunately, that usually indicates a bad MAF. If the ECU senses a serious problem with the MAF it will literally stop the car from going above a certain RPM (usually 2000 or 2500). You should be able to ask a dealership what the codes mean.

i have had some with tps and other throttle codes that were caused by throttle body/actuator assembly(3), ecm(lots), and just one that was a harness fault.

Well had it towed to a dealership and their diagnostic is a fried ECM. Fortunately I've still got 4k left on the warranty so shouldn't hurt the wallet too much. Thanks for the responses.

Carfull the throttle body motor might be the cause of the fried ecm driver. On my first couple initial TPS code /failed Throttle body circuit. Replaced the ECM and had them return a few weeks later with the same problem. Ended up finding the Actuator was faulty. The ECM ended up being the symptom not the failed part.
