I have a 2005 Sentra 1.8S and just recently in the past few weeks I notice my car has been starting funny. Like it takes a little longer to crank to turn on the car or sometimes I crank for like 3 seconds and it never turns on. Any ideas? Possibly starter? It just hit 40,000 miles so I wouldn't think it could do that. I recently changed my belts. Could my belt be on too tight?

They should replace it for free. Contact a dealer and have them run your VIN. I know there was a recall on this at one point, so you should be good to go.

Either your ECM or the fuel pump going bad. Both they'll replace for free.

I called a few local Nissan dealerships and since I was out of warranty, they needed $100 for a diagnostics fee and whatever it costs to repair it. I'm pretty upset. Sometimes I just get frustrated, it's not my fault they used a defective part.

That's crap. It's a recall issue. They should fix it for free, period.

I checked the NHTSA website and it doesn't show the recall applying to 05's. I'd push the dealer about it anyway with a printout of the TSB.
