Obviously the NISMO exhaust gets rave reviews. I have heard the NISMO exhaust in person and sounds beautiful and definately added some power coupled with the NISMO CAI. Stromung has an exhaust as well..a bit heavier than the stock exhaust, but still adds power and doesn't sound "ricey".

Deep exhaust note, just a bit louder than stock, but noticeable.

Some are better than others. I would say that most mainstream companies makes a decent product for the most part.

The more popular ones tend to be the Nismo and Stromung exhausts from what I have seen. There are several reputable companies that make exhausts for the car so in that respect it is more of a personal preference kind of thing and what you personally think looks or sounhds nicer.

Could always go with a exhaust shop cat-back system. Mine's 2.25" cat back mandrel bent with a dual 3" tip muffler, I think it sounds good and isn't deadening loud...only payed 140 too.

Yeah I have a Greddy Evo 2 on my 04 Spec V and I love it. Its not to loud and it sounds even better when you put headers on the car and it has a great deep tone. If you want to see how it sounds I have a youtube video of it and my friends Talon TSI at this address. http://youtube.com/watch?v=q1vx4DDuJ-U
