Newbie here, but not to autocross. I read everything I could find on the B14 for racing.

I need some help preparing my son's car for local autox competition.

1998 Sentra GXE completely stock.

I'll need the following:

Coilovers (prefer DB adj.) with upper ball joints and camber plates. I'm use to high end coilovers such as Moton, Ohlins, JRZ, etc. However, this is for my son so a budget coilover is a must ($800-1200). Spring rates will be custom and prefer 2.5" springs vs mm. I have found ads for:- Ksport Kontrol Pro, Ksport GT Pro, Version RR- Koni sports w/ sleeves- KW- Tien Basic, Super Street type SS Dampers- D2 Racing RS, Pro Spec- JIC FLT-FAS, FLT-TAR - Megan Racing Street Series- Progress Competition CS1

Sway Bars- Whiteline 27f/22r- Progress 30f/24r- Nutech

Wheels (open, but must be light) Rota has a good selection. Looking to fit at least a 16x7 to a 17x7.5. 205, 215, 225 tire in a short as possible side wall. I'm presently looking at Bridgestone RE-01R in a 205/45/16. RE11's, Dunlope Star Spec, Yoko AD07 or 08's when they arrive, and Kumho XS are other possibilities.

Exhaust is open as well as intake and engine tuning.

Need direction on brakes, lines, pads, rotors, and any upgrades.

Suspension bushings open.

I plan on modeling the roll center and camber curves once the coilovers are installed. Once everthing is installed and and alignment is set, I'll have my friend corner weigh it.

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Dave

Not sure about the B14 but the B13 works best without the front sway bar.I would look into that.

The bar holds the inside front tire up and promotes wheel spin.It also helps the car rotate without it.

Been involved in racing the b13's for 12 years. Autox, Pro Sedan, SE-R Cup, and now PTE. We proved it by disconnecting the front sway bar end link resulting in lower lap times.

GRM did an STS B13 a few years back, as I recall they went with progress bars and coil overs and had great luck

I'm all too familar with inside tire lift with too thick of a bar, but in general it's based on limiting body roll. You did't mention your f/r spring rate (rear must be soft). I'd be interested in your static ride height compared to stock and how much front suspension travel you have before hitting the bump stops/frame. Assuming you have coilovers and camber plates, how does your front roll center look? Do you have data on the front camber curve?

Sorry with all the questions, but I'm finding that the B14 does not have many followers (links, threads, sites, etc.).

Thanks for your help,

Dave
