B14 Build

Alright guys I'm Erick been on this forum quiet a while, just lurking around when I had my S13 & Maxima. Been through a lot of cars as you can see in my sig. Was just a young kid going through the phase & now I'm 20 with more knowledge & patience, I decided to settle for the B14 chassis. I picked this bad boy up for $850. Since it's my daily I made sure I did the works. Change the plugs, wires, full synthetic oil & surprising no leaks as people keep telling me switching from conventional to full synthetic, coolant flush & next up is brakes. Got a pretty good deal on a set of B14 SE-R wheels for $130 ! & that definitely help with the ugly mixed match wheels it had.

I found out that I guess back in 98 there was a recall regarding I think a cam guide or something with the lifter with the GA16DE engines that was never performed, so I always let my car up up for about 5 mins at least till the ticking noise goes away. If anyone knows any help to deal with this problem let me know

Gave it a quick wash & interior detail. & I haven't put a grill on because I think this car was a in a fender bender & my upper tie bar rusted off & the radiator support is bent & welded in the weirdest places So I will ordering a new one next week with a new grill

Will also be fixing the rust & those s*** bondo jobs. Hopefully I can do better since it will be my 1st time doing body work

12:5:1 Pistons
N1 Cams or JWT S4 cams plan on revving past 8k
Mazworx 2.4l Stroker
Carillo rods (I hear they are the lightest & best for NA ?)
ARP Hardware of course

Suspension:
D2 Coilovers (cause of built in camber settings)
Suspension Technique Sway bars
Oem LCA
Whiteline Front Lower Control Arm Brace
F&R Strut Brace
Does anyone know if there is a complete set for polyurethane bushings out for hte B14 ?

Drivetrain:
SR16 transmission or B15 6spd with b12 bellhousing
As far a clutches go what's the best for about 300+hp I guess tq numbers will fly around 230+ ?
300hp+ custom axles

Brakes:
SE-R Rear disc swap
Hawk pads
Stainless Lines
or if it's possible make a bracket & put Z32 brakes up front
(Plan on turning this into a track monster when I finish school next summer)

So money is not a option now because I want the best but will be slow cause I'm paying school & insurance for a 20yr old is pricey So I will be doing body work & suspension & engine last. Any advice from you guys I'm down for

Update:
Sorry for the long wait.. School payments are fully on my head now I had to catch up to like 3 payments plus a little more maintenance (Brakes.. fuel system.. wipers etc..)

Bad news - my upper tie bar & hood latch finally gave out to rust so I missed out on a SR20DE swap due to buying parts for the new front end

Good news - Got a deal on eibach springs (just to decrease the ride height for now), new radiator support, 97 grille (have), 97 headlights all ordered. Just waiting on the headlights, hood latch & upper tie bar to come in. Also my dad was giving away parts & sold his air compressor w/o consulting me 1st. But In the works he gave me his paint tank & gun, haven't really looked at it to see if I can use it for cars but i'll see. Going to get a go on body work pretty soon so will be updating you guys with that.

Hopefully coilovers or SR20VE Sometime in November

Well took me about 2.5hrs of hammering & re-tapping caliper bolt slots just to put in new rotors...

Anywho.. Grille & new rad support here just waiting for other parts. I will be getting a couple quotes from body shops to align & complete my front end. If anyone knows link for how-to install a rad support shoot me the link lol.. Till then I will update some time next week or so

Yea will do guys. In the works of getting a engine hopefully this week or next. Due to the ga16 making weird noises in the head I'm unfortunately settling for a SR20DE and no SR20VE & getting a set of BC Stage 3 cams along with it for a pretty good deal, if he doesn't part it out by the time I'm ready. But with that being said front end is complete just waiting for my upper tie bar, passenger fender lining & hood latch to come in. Pics soon to come

Quick inspection of the head & everything seemed to be alright. Going to replace all accessories, hoses & re-do the valve cover in the mean time. So I will be ordering more parts once again

Hopefully get to body work & other miscellaneous stuff this weekend
