B12 vs S12

Hey everyone,

I'm new here, and semi-new to nissans. My parents finally gave me their old 87 B12 sport coupe to mess with, its been sitting in my driveway since i was a child and now i finally get to rebuild it

i just have some questions that i've come up with while looking into parts for this car

Whats the difference between the B12 and the S12 chassis?? i see a lot of similarities in the 2 (this is probably the question thats bothering me the most)

this goes out to anyone who has messed with this car... whats the biggest engine that has been put in this car??
i tried searching but i got confused with the way the this forms search engine works

The difference in the S-12 and the B-12 is that the B-12 is FWD and the S-12 is RWD as you can see that the B-12 has the engine on its side and the S-12 has the engine facing forward. There are no dumb Questions to ask as the more you ask the more you will know more about the B-12. Just do some homework and research on your Nissan as you will learn more and more in the future. The biggest Engine that you can get for your B-12 is a SR20DET or a SR20VVL which will be very exciting in your B-12 in power as you can make one into about 300 to 600+ HP. me and my boy are actually getting the Neo SR20 engine to put in my B12

also is it possible to make a B12 Chassis RWD?? and the Neo SR20 is the same as the SR20VVL right??

Yes there is a way to make a B-12 into a RWD but it will take a lot of work

Yes the NeoVVL SR20 is the same as a SR20VVL if you take a closer look at the valve cover it will say VVL Neo on it.
