???B&M Short Shifter Install???

I just found out that my B&M short shifter has just been delivered. When i get home from work i would like to go out and install it, but i've been searching the forums and there isn't anything on the install of the shifter itself. My Question is: Do i need a lift, or can i get away with jack stands, and do i need to disassemble anything to get to bolts that hold the plate on? any help would be great, thanks.

you can use jackstands and lay on your back like I did

all the bolts are underneath the car

i found the magical tool, the box end rachet with a swivel head. It took me 40 minutes to get them off and, no joke, 5 minutes to put them back on with that tool.

The ratcheting wrenches are easy to come by these days, but the flex head ones are harder to find.

what goes on in the install? i just went to a pick and pull, and completely removed the shift lever from a 1990 240sx ka24e in 30 seconds; 4 phillips screws for the boot, one snap ring, pull, and it's over. my service manual says putting it back in is as easy as reversing the process. what's special about a short shifter that you have to take sh*t off the car and crawl under it?

on the B&M you remove the whole plate that is on top of the transmission. takes 6 bolts.
