B&M Shifter noise

So I got my SS this morning and after giggling like a little girl for a few minutes, I installed it. I'll say what I said in the B&M Group Buy thread, the two front bolts on the stock shifter are a pain in the motherf'ing ***. Anywho, after taking out the stock shifter and putting the new bad boy on, I took it out for a spin. Hot damn, this thing rocks. Shifting is definitely alot quicker, stiff moving it around, but quick during the throw.

I do have a question though to anyone with a B&M Shifter in their S14. Do you guys get a rattling noise? When I start the car, I get a whiring, rattling noise. I did everything by the instructions, except I didn't put in the 2 front bolts cause I didn't want to go through that crap again. I dunno if that makes the difference, but I'll put it on later when I have the time.

Yes....it's common....just gotta deal with it. I drilled 2 holes in the floor so i could get a socket in there. lol

Hahaha! I hear ya. I was about to bust some holes too, but I was determined to get those bolts off w/o drilling.
