Haha installing a ss is pretty self explanatory, but yes as you stated there are online guides

As long as it came with all the parts in the box, you should have no problem sliding the old one out and sliding the new one in.

Suggestion though: invest in snap ring pliers.

Well manual transmission fluid is transmission fluid. 75w90 i guess. Thinner the better if your car isnt too old and your not leaking. Um to change it... pop the plug out of the bottom... let it totaly drain and plug it and fill it while you have the old shifter out. Your B&M has the full blue plate right? about the size of a graham cracker. LSD doesnt have anything to do with the transmission. But same fluid for the diff if its not LSD.

Whatever they recommend, im not sure what they offer but lighter makes the components have less resistance. I hear redline is good stuff and will help you out. Less drivetrain power loss.

I recommend redline. But penzoil synchromesh (GN synchromesh) will work just fine.
