Thanks for not starting a new thread. Seriously, alot of that going around. What's wrong with your stock RB shifter or do you not have one?

i don't understand why you need to have the box in 3rd gear to remove the striker arm. i would imagine you need to have the selector shaft pushed forward to the front of the box. ie bell housing end. if using the shifter and selecting 3rd you would actually be pulling the selector rod out further. surely pulling the stick back and therefore pushing the selector back in would have to make it easier and give more room for the striker arm to pull off the back. all theories appreciated.thanks

it is almost impossible to remove the striker arm from the ka box without seperating the halves.if you put the rb box in 3rd then remove the arm you can remove the striker and install the ka one.

thanks carl, i have the rb arm out and it was pretty easy. i just don't understand why you need to be in 3rd gear. i'm thinking to push the selector arm back in to make getting the new arm on alot easier. also i'm going to cut and lengthen my rb arm. if i add the full 15mm it may be hard to get back in.

Sorry I know this is an old thread, but why start a new one for one simple question.
Is this the same for the ISIS shifter?
It's supposed to be the same as the B&M shifter.
