I've been doin some serious searching to figure out what would be a good profile to mount on 18's. I don't wanna have to fix a flat or replace a tire every 6mos. I wanted to know what's the profile on your tires and size rims you're wearing. Have your had any problems with your current setup? Have you heared any feedback on Fuzion's, good, bad, neither...Firestone has a sale on fuzion zri 225 or 235 40/r18 for $102, slightly more on the 235.

I hate to burst your bubble, but with all this talk of rims, are your guides done?

Or the Infiniti Articles here is a good place to start.

There is more information about the G50 here in the previous posts than any where else, except maybe the FSM which is complementary to the posts here.

However, what he says is true... Q45.org will give you all the info you NEED, without hours of reading.. The novel's a la Q45tech are VERY good reading but certainly not something I wanted to do right away... You will have to want to, and that comes with time......

Wes, please see me in my office.

JT - 235/40/18 is too short and too weak. A minor pothole will demolish the rim, and the ride from that short a tire will be terrible.

I have 245/40, and I really wish I had gotten the 255/40's.

I'm not familiar with the tires you speak of, but I will never again criticize a "new-to-market" tire. The Falkens, Kumhos and Ventus are all good tires IMO, without the "name brand" pricing.

Q45.org exists for five reasons:

1) So I can have a cool e-mail address.I mean come on, its freaking l33t.

2) So people with Qs can easily find NICO.After I got the Q it took me a couple months to find this place. First I joined some generic car forum, then found the Yahoo group. Then finally migrated over here.

3) So all the important information often repeated on NICO can be organized into a clean, navigable portal. At first, I was going to set q45.org to automatically redirect to NICO, but decided it would be a great way to collect and organize all of the information for newbies.

4) To give free hosting away to NICO members that may need email or storage for any reason.http://www.q45.org/hosting.html

5) To impress women!

2) Seems more people are "finding" Q45.org from NICO than vice versa.3) If you're saying important info is hard to find in the Infiniti articles, it's probably because there's so much important info in them.4) See 2), above.

I think this is a little disingenious to imply that one can learn all that is relevant without hours of reading. There is no shortcut to learning; one must cover the relevant information. Most adults know that, but some still want the canned answer for rote learning.

The Articles section here is a good starting place but only that. Both the articles here and those posted at Q45.org have some inaccuracies and omissions, but they are minor to the knowledgeable owner who has read all of Q45tech's and other's relevant previous posts here.

How about my short version? If you don't do chain guides, hoses, fluid swaps, radiator, thermostat, water pump, O2 sensors, cam cover reseals, IAC and EGR cleaning, fuel pump and filter, injectors, brake and suspension repair before you do rims, stereos, ECU and TCU, lowering, exhaust mods, intake mods, 4.08 gears and superchargers then you're an idiot.

I know a lot of you have beef with Q45.org, and we are looking to make a resolution to solve this....

I have talked in depth with Fred about this, and I wont say anything about that but I believe a resolution has come.

Yes, Robert I HAVE read EVERY article in the infiniti articles section.... That said, I can say its pretty lame compared to Q45.org. No offense to the creators, but honestly you moderators and adminstrators have better things to do than to have a well organized articles section..... its got good stuff, but not nearly the compilation, organization, and the "all you need nothing you dont" sort of information. Ive been a NICO member for pushing 2 years and I would say I know the Q pretty well, and I can pretty well tell what the average owner needs to know..... THUS THE CREATION FOR Q45.org!!!!

Ive not mentioned this yet, but since the creation of the site I have gotten emails, IMs, etc saying they love the site. You know POORMANQ45.... he came to NICO through Q45.org!!!!

For the time, effort, and money me and Jesda are putting into Q45.org, I would have expected a little more support and a little more respect..... EVERY time I mention Q45.org SOMETHING arises..... No, Q45.org doesnt cover everything and teh only way is to read all the previous posts. Yes I know that Ive done it!!!! But Q45.org is a starting place for the newish member to the Qmunity...... I know all the ruckus is about Q45.org taking traffic away from NICO or the possibility that we are going to turn against NICO..... Now listen who your talking about, Me and Jesda.... We both have made steadfast promises not to create another fourm against NICO, and I want to make that crystal clear.. Q45.org DOES NOT EXIST AS COMPETITON to NICO

And to mirror what Jesda said, having a email address at [email protected] is just freaking l33t!!!!

BTW, if ANYONE has ANY beef with this site, and the cooperation of the websites please email me or call me at 765-621-8336.....

I think there no need to get anyone feathers ruffled here.

Q45.org is a great addtion to Nico which we can be proud of.

You Wes ruffled some feathers yourself ,when you argued teh reference to our articles section there by implicitly, calling some of our busy Moderators efforts less than adequate, on that and I disagree.

What we all can agree on I think, is the great effort you guys have done and we are proud to consider (as you do) Q45.org a portal to Nico.

I dont want this thread to become too divisive for our little group of friends, so I will keep it open until Jesda posts, then close it.

Fred..:)

I love your site Wes.

Like I said, it's nice to be able to go to a site to get a nice plenum writeup, or any of the other extremly helpful resources you have readily available.

ITS WHATS FOR DINNER! Sorry, mom is cooking and I can smell it so I tend to get excited.

Damn right. I'm hacking NICO and crowning myself KING OF ALL MEDIA!

Or.. not. :)

True that.

Won't be l33t for long with everyone getting free hosting. :)

I got pissed this morning and created the other thread. Then Fred called ASAP, we chatted cordially and everything is a-okay. :thumbup Or as Mr1der would say... "SUPER RAD!"

I was going to reply to the other thread to clear things up for everyone but I wasnt going to be home until much later. By then the thread would have become a stale fart chock full of replies all day long for an issue that almost immediately became a non-issue.
