Great article...had to laugh when I read, "Phetsomphou's coupe, for example, sports a front end he had specially shipped from Japan to make his American 240SX look and behave more like the sought-after Japanese Silva model."

good article i liked this best:"The autocross guys don't like it if you go to one of their events and start drifting every corner," says Phetsomphou, who personally loves the turns at a particular police training track in Casa Grande. "So we try to keep it on the down-low."

guess its no longer on the down low

Blair Sato's attitude is dog****. I met up w/ the 240 guys at the pavs one evening, and he was most definitly to cool to talk to. Plus, when I noticed his buddy getting his attention and pointing at my car, he made some kind of jack off motion w/ his hand.

fake *** Johnny Tran............

Yeah. Fake *** Johnny Tran, who happens to be able to tune every piece of a vehicle twice as well as you ever could wish to, use it twice as well as you, and be twice the person you are. Find one person who KNOWS blair that doesn't like him. I dare you.

Hold it, hold it, hold it.

What someone KNOWS doesn't give them the right to goof on someone else's car.

If you had seen ultimatuc's Alty run at Firebird at SCO Nights, you (and he) would give it some respect.

Disappointing that only ONE member of az240sx.org showed up for that event.... Very disappointing.

p.s. I don't know Blair, so I can't take sides... So far, everyone I know that's affiliated with az240sx has been relatively cool.

im not even defending myself or my knowledge, stay on track here wiz kid; you didn't even talk to the dude, and here you are trashing him here on a forum.

btw greg, you've probably noticed this, there arn't many people interested in drag racing on AZ240. It's pretty disappointing how we've had 6 drift days and no one from NICO outside az240 has showed up...yeah...that's pretty 'disappointing.'

What difference does "being interested in drag racing" make? SCO Nights was a show, a meet and drag racing, ALL of which are more popular that drifting.

"No one from NICO outside of az240 showed up" - Think about what you've said there... Who else WOULD come to a drift day? A FWD Max owner? Me in my Q? The Altima guys?

There you have it. :)

SCO night was a drag night, with ricers around (show). The 'meet' sprang from most of the people one or the other (A dragger or a ricer), hence the reason they went. So remind me why, people on az240, who are neither, are expected to show up? Exactly, they shouldn't be. Same reason I was sarcasticly illustrating that I nor anyone else I know ever expected you or anyone else to show up. Do you get it yet?

Whatever toki.

First of all, there were some sweet cars there, and very few were "ricers".

Second, it was a nice event with good media coverage. I was there, as was Z-Bum (but I guess we're both ricers):rolleyes

Third, you never know WHERE I'll show up. The question for me will be whether to bring my droptop 240 or my modded Q45.

p.s. Get used to me, I'll be at a LOT more events now, for reasons to be revealed later. :)
