so my rear pads are shot, started hearing a metallic noise the other day so i took off the wheel to see whats wrong. pads are worn pretty much to the metal, probably scoring the rotor which makes the noise. so i need pads and decided to get some axxis ultimates.

looked around the net a bit and then went to good ol ebay where they sell EVERYTHING. saw the axxis for $49 buy it now with $8 shipping for BOTH front and rears. with that money you would normally be able to only get either. so i jumped on the deal right away. ordered the pads, and got them the next day.

stupid question... i see online on many sites that they have 'axxis ultimate' printed on the pads. the pads i bought off ebay came in an axxis box... but no axxis printing on the pads. should i be worried about this ? are they cheapy generic ones lol

i just needed pads

most axxis ultimate pads have a gold backing plate...IIRC

my axxis metal masters said "axxis" on the backing plate.

welcome to the problem with E-bay my friend..you get what you pay for.

didn't axxix got bought out by pdr?

their products are still around and usually on the backing where the shims go

I have had 3 front/rear sets for different car, 1 from coximport, 1 from another online store and 1 from private seller. All 3 of them say axxis on the back, no gold plate

black backing plate, small amount of an adhesive "shim" on the back that should say Axxis on it.

Axxis is made by Bendix IIRC ... I doubt they got bought out as Bendix is a huge company.

I'd be willing to bet both are owned by Bendix

Note they use the same logo as well.

Bendix = Mintex as well ... which is used alot in Europe.

i bought mine on ebay. Don't remember if pads were marked, but they were wrapped in a plastic thing that said axxis all over it. Anyways, they work as described, including the excessive easy to clean dusting, so I'm guessing I got the originals. I got 4x300zx pads for around 60$ so I doubt you got ripped.
