Axxess ASWC problems.

I recently installed a pioneer x940 in my 07 altima. Everything works great with the new head unit. Only problem i am having is getting the steering wheel controls to work. I have everything hooked up correctly, i have even put a call into tech support to verify everything is hooked up correctly. The one thing I didn't ask or mention was the "bluetooth bypass" that is on Axxess's website. It says something about connecting a few wires together on the 32 pin connector which i hadn't done. Does anyone know if this has to be done to get even the volume and seek keys to work? Are they routed all the way back to the trunk then to the radio? Or have you gotten one of these to work and if so how? 07 altima 3.5 sl, with bose, without factory navi.
