Well, my original plan of attack for an exhaust was just to wait until someone released a nice catback for the V, but its starting to seem less and less likely that one is gonna be released anytime in the near future, so now I'm asking myself should I go ahead and shell out the cash for an axleback system or go the custom exhaust route....... I don't think either way will provide more power than the other so the question becomes shell out more money and be sure of what the exhaust note will sound like, or spend less and risk sounding like the dozens of civics that buzz be me on a daily basis. I know a couple of folks on here have gone the custom route and are quite happy with their results, I just can't remember who lol...... So anyone who can weigh in with some good info on pipe diameter, and muffler that they used, or the gains from the axleback, or maybe even some more solid info on a catback, please feel free to share

i went custom route. I had a 2.25 pipe connected right where the factory would bolt up. ( just in case they made a cat back or if i wanted to go back to stock.) i used n1 style muffler off ebay. nice deep tone. Wit the scilencer on it, it is tamed and is what i use for daily driving. it is pretty lound with out. not ricey at all. If i had to do it all over again i would sounds good and less than $150 THATS INSTALLED

Awesome..... I may be going that route shortly than myself...... Any body have any speculation as to whether or not there's any horsepower gain ( I doubt it, but I'm also a cynic lol)

Doubtful.... if there was, it wouldn't be much.

Speaking of going the cheap route, I was speculating putting on a Cherry Bomb Turbo dual outlet muffler. Had one on an '88 EXP I used to own and it sounded very deep European-ish. Not too bad for a $35 muffler. Part number 87756 is what I had in mind. http://www.cherrybomb.com/products/turbo

Might just bite the bullet and go with the Still, however.
