Thank you and I checked rockauto, infinitipartsusa, NAPA, and autozone. Infinitipartsusa was the only site to actually have the part but for $700.

Okay, I was going to suggest RockAuto or Autozone...you could try Autozone's competitors (Napa, Advance Auto, etc.). If you have the part number you could see if you get lucky on EBay...lots of people selling OEM parts there (even some dealerships).

Had my passenger side front axel rebuilt for $100. Last year. Heck of alot better than $800. The dealers were selling it for. I looked for an entire month before deciding to having it rebuilt. Even came with a limited lifetime warranty.

try Nutrend.com

Thats where I found my controls arms for less than 50% what other companies were selling them for. They are a division of newegg.com oddly enough, I didn't know they did auto parts until recently!

It seems very few make aftermarket parts for our M's, when it comes to the axle and drive-shaft. I just spent 1500 to have my shaft replaced at the dealer, and another 300 for them to fix my axle. So I feel your pain! Best thing to do is keep on eye out on eBay and keep searching the web.

I ended up buying the axle from infiniti for $700 which was cheaper than others
