I’ve got a 2004 frontier king cab 2x4 5-speed with a 2.4 and I have dredged the internet looking to convert my axle from spring-under to spring-over in the hopes to gain a few inches to keep it from dragging the ground on railroad tracks and other such obstacles. Anyone know of a “flip kit” out there or is this simply going to be a backyard rig up?

You just need a new set of spring perches to weld on, and an angle finder to get the pinion angle right.

Remove the axle, cut the old perches off, bolt it together with the new perches loosely, and adjust pinion angle accordingly so it's the same angle as the transmission output, and then tack the perches. Disassemble and finish the welds.

Any offroad shop is gonna have perches available for sale...Trailer shops may as well.....

I would recommend new Ubolts, and it's likely you'll need to drop the Ebrake cable mount some so they're long enough to reach. You're going to get about 6" of rear lift doing this.
