Regardless, it's a moderate level repair. I recommend air tools, but if you don't have them, a large breaker bar will work as well.
First, remove the tire.
Disconnect the upper control arm mount from the wheel hub to give you a little more play room.
Turn the wheel fully CW
Assess damage. If the shaft is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
If shaft is in good condition, slide back into wheel hub and use the center nut to re-secure the axle to the hub. If it has a cotter pin hole, use one.
Reconnect upper control arm.
Replace tire.
That's a basic assessment of how to do it on just about any vehicle. Once again, I highly suggest using an air impact gun, but if you don't have one, a large breaker bar will work. Next time, post in the Pathfinder section.
