alright so i was installing my 5 lug hubs and i did the stoopid and hit the axel with a hammer to get it out. now my axel nut wont go back on becaused of f'd up threads. my question is this:can i drive without the axel nut or do i need a new axel? the axel is sandwiched between the hub and diff so theoreticially its not going anywhere... right??just wanted some inputthanks!

first thing i did was go at it with a file nd try to straiten out the threads but it wasnt really working, i was thinking of filing off the first couple of threads and just slipping it onto the next, strait, threads. only problem is the clouds are pissing water all over the place, including my driveway where i keep my s13
