I wish they would re-air shows of politically incorrect on comedy central. But then again the guests are of better caliber on HBO which runs for an hour with no commercials.

comedy central had the tick for a little while. i'm waiting for DVD. If the live action flop made it, the animated series can't be far behind

I had mid-day reveries about flying one of the hammerheads and their awesome cannons during school all the time. I loved that show--I can't see why they cancelled it. It was far superior to alot of the "B" sci-fi series as it had above average acting, good story lines, aweosme drama, and plenty of violence. I personally can't ask for much more.

Except titties, but that's what Cinemax is for.

Firefly kicked major ***. Hopefully, if the DVDs are selling well (I bought 'em) and the movie does well, Firefly will somehow come back.

I also really miss Farscape and Good Vs. Evil (aka G vs. E).

And I thought I saw a commercial for the dvd's but I thought I was dreaming. Are they only the episodes aired or are there any non-shown by fox?

They killed it because...I don't know. Maybe Fox never really believed in the show, maybe they never quite understood it. They may have had a problem with the fact that it relied on long running story arcs instead of a more episodic approach. Fox doesn't seem to be able to market Sci Fi very well...they didn't stick with Firefly or Millenium for very long. Other than X-Files...nothing.

The DVD set has all of the episodes that were shot. I believe there are two that never aired, possibly more. It's pretty damn cool and not too expensive.

i think 3 didn't air.

anyways, fox looked at the ratings and canned it from that. nobody watched it because it had a crap time slot from what i understand. Fox is good at killing good shows. I think Nathan Fillion said it best that they were probably making way for more game shows based on reality tv

all the episodes, including the ones not aired. also, they're ordered on the DVD properly, not by Fox's stupid airing schedule where they repositioned episodes not caring where they fell in the story. Also, a few of the episodes were re-edited I believe because Joss was able to finally do it the way he wanted, not the way Fox wanted it. It's also why the whole DVD set is shown in widescreen. When it aired on Fox, it was fullscreen. Joss just shot it on 35mm film because he knew he would do the DVDs eventually.

Wasn't FireFly part of whats known as the "Buffyverse"? Never saw it but I was reading an article about the cancellation of Angel, Elisa Dushku turning down a spin off, and it pretty much said the "Buffyverse" is dead and they don't know if it will ever come back.

Ya there were two that never aired. The dvd has them in the order he intended tenkawa's exaclty right. Funny thing is, its kinda like family guy. Think about why family guy got killed...crappy ratings at the time. Now its back and with new episodes based on the fact people discovered it later on DVD. Maybe we can hope for the same.

PS...Serenity the FIREFLY MOVIE! is in production/post production
