awkward clutch petal?

i bought my 89 240 completely stock a long while ago.. when i got it the clutch petal is not like any clutch petal i have ever felt or seen.. i put a new clutch and flywheel in a year ago. and bled the clutch.. but it still feels the same.. what it is is that its very close to the floor and doesnt take much to push it down.. but it works just fine except trying to shift quick. ( it will grind) so i just nvr did tht.. but why is it so close to the floor about 5 inches away...

Did you bleed it?

How are the lines?

The slave or master could be bad, or the CMC pedal rod needs adjustment.
