Hi Buds,

Shopping these Rogues and ran across one with AWD.

Mr. V schooled me on the CVT trannies --- not sure that applies to AWD?

Anyone have experience with these Transmissions?

Thoughts / Comments?

Thanks for your input~

The CVT AWD's are the same as FWD, just with a modified housing so the transfer case can mate to it. The transfer case and the driveshaft turn at all times. They're connected to the rear diff with an electromagnetic viscous coupling mounted on the diff, allowing the system to split 0~50% of the motive power to the rear wheels by manipulating drag on the coupling. It's a decent setup, the only real weak point is the couplers, which have a tendency for some very rude vibration and noise when they're dying.
