2014 Rogue AWD

The problem I’m having is a sudden decrease in gas mileage. I’m fairly certain the problem is the back brakes I just changed. There are no trouble codes being displayed.

While scrolling through the menu screens, I went past the 4x4 i screen that gives a percentage of the power being shunted to the front and back wheels (I assume). I honestly never paid much attention to this screen, but is all the power supposed to be going to the front wheels most of the time? Is that normal? I only see maybe 5 or 10% to the back when I’m turning.

It's perfectly normal. Your Rogue is a front wheel drive vehicle that has an AWD lock function meant for temporary use at low speed, for uses such as getting out of a heavy snowdrift. You can activate the “AWD lock” while the vehicle is stopped, but once you reach 10 mph (IIRC), it automatically reverts to FWD. It is not a full time AWD system.

Additional info can be found in the Owner's Manual Supplement, starting on page 7.
