no, because it wont fit/work without a SERIOUS amount of modification.

basically if you have to ask this question, you cant do the swap.

i see. well i was curious to see if it has been done before and i don't see how it won't work, the rb25 from the stagea is the pretty much the same as the skyline with a gtr sump. the stagea uses the skyline drivetrain for the most part. so i don't see how it won't work.

oh yea because people make awd 240's with skyline drivetrains all the time. as far as i know that company in california with their R14's is the only company doing it and it's not worth the price at all.

yea but i don't need to get any subframes or frame rails made for this. i think it should just be a simple swap in with redoing the wiring harness. that's just my personal take on it though. i've seen rb26's swapped into stagea's so why not swap the stagea rb25 into a skyline?

OH WOW i totally misunderstood your question

you are talking about taking a stagea drivetrain and putting it into a SKYLINE right? haha

The shop I hang out at just did one not to long ago. It was so kick *** I was on the verge of buying a GTS4 and doing it, but decided against it since I've got a little under a year left over here and it's back to the states with me. Anywho, it was pretty much a straight swap. Only issue I can think of off the top of my head was the different gear ratios. Stagea is 4.1, GTS4 is 4.37. Either swap rear diffs, or keep the GTS4 sump/front diff and use that on the RB25 motor. We did the later. Stock RB25 + RB26 D-jetro Power FC + big'ish turbo + plain looking GTS4 = bad *** sleeper 500awhp skyline. Head get me by 3-4 cars off the line, but I'd run him down. He surprised a lot of people with that thing though. The GTS4 drivetrain is the same strength as the GTR, it's just got a weak d!ck RB20 in front of it. O, and no over fenders.

that's around the hp i'm looking at making as well. i'm gonna build up the motor and use an apexi AX75F82 turbo. what about using some gtr diff's on it?

Why? GTR is 4.1, GTS4 is 4.37. If you are drag racing, the later would be better.

Also, the motor does NOT need to be built for that kind of hp.

i know but i'd rather have the motor built up a little bit just in case i put more power to the motor.

Yeah, I've been wanting to do it for a while, just stuff never lined up. Any skyline can't really be much of a sleeper in the states, but over here where R32 GTSt's are more common than v6 'stangs in the states, it would be awesome. 500awhp in a R32 is easy mid 11 second car on street tires--and it looks like a bolt on 14 second GTSt.

so does anyone think this would be a swap worth doing? it's something a little different then most mods done on a skyline but i think it would be awesome to see it done.

it's worth doing if you can find all your parts for a good cost.

So you don't have a GTS4, you are just spit balling?

If so, yes, it's worth doing, and yes, it's been done several times. For ease of parts though, a RB26 into a GTS4 is even easier.

Not on this board. That's because this board is almost all S chassis swaps. Try registering on zeroyon.com It's almost all american guys here on Okinawa. We give each other a bunch of **** on there, but it's tough love There is a guy doing EXACTLY that swap right now.
