I have a 06 m35x awd. I’m hearing a squicking sound when I turn the wheel. Dealer said I need to replace my front lower control arm $1500. Having trouble finding the parts. Any suggestions and also help on diy videos. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

It seems like these are the part numbers you need:
54501-EG300 - left side
54500-EG300 - right side
Look them up online, you can usually find decent deals there, but I use this website for its detailed layouts:

I've done the work on a RWD car. Watch the video, and especially read the description.

dude is that your video? How can you get anything done with one hand? :) good stuffs

for the LCA replacement, i strongly suggest salvage yard as an alternative. i bought and used one for about a year now in CT and it's still holding up.

Haha, even I amaze myself sometimes when I go through my videos editing them.
I have a tripod for the long range stuff, but that's just a minority of the work. Most times I have to shove the camera into the most intimate parts of the car... and keep working.
I do it out of pure love for the M community; although it can be a thankless job at times, the passion keeps me going.

I sold most of those components I removed btw. I feel (and hope) that most sellers wouldn't be advertising beat up suspension components, so going to ebay/ craigslist would be a good option too, as cruzad3r pointed out.
