AWD lock speed limit

So, yesterday we got a bunch of snow up in NE Wisconsin so I put my Rogue in AWD lock since the roads weren't plowed. I kept it in AWD lock just to see when it would turn off. About 8 minutes later I'm cruising down the highway and AWD lock didn't go off until I hit about 60mph. Is that right? I thought it should go off once you hit speeds of 26mph or something like that.

Nissan doesn't publish the speed at which the AWD lock disengages. It varies based on driving conditions (wheel slip, acceleration rate, etc).

I don't think you have a problem, it's just the way it works.
