Interestingly, this completely ruins one of the G's minor competitors, the Jaguar X-Type (the rebadged leather-clad version of the Ford Mondeo/Contour).

Other than AWD, the X-Type had no reason to exist. High options prices, shoddy build quality, poor short-term dependability, cheap interior, and short on power.

The AWD G35 will be a nice upscale alternative to the Impreza WRX.
