just got my new car and driver mag and theres a small article on pg 38 that says the g35 will get an AWD option in early Dec. And the skyline GTR will get a 480hp twin turbo V6 tuned by Cosworth. at the end of the article it says "Don't expect to see the GTR, likely labeled an infiniti when it comes to America, til 2005 or 2006." I guess were getting the R35 :D

Out of the working man's price range. Last year my boss got his fat stupid hands on a new Z06 that was $50k+, and that was with a mere 405hp. I have this strange idea that a company's flagship of performance will always carry a hefty premium, and be a true rarity. Good news is we should all get a look at the 'production accurate' version at various international auto shows.

well in japan the r34 gtr sells for around 55k (u.s dollars) so i would expect it to be more than that, especially if it has an infiniti label, i would estimate around 65k or so, also, the g35 sedan in japan already has the awd system, however it doesnt have the turbo's or any of that, and the awd isnt available on teh coupe, yet

I think RWD would still be the way to go, just my opinion. . I can't imagine AWD being all that fun.

It's not the same Attessa Pro system the R34 GT-R had. . . just regular Attessa.

I know I know. .hahaha but look at the guy. . he doesn't exactly flatter Honda owners :D

The way I understand the difference between the two systems, Attessa is a standard AWD system, while Attessa pro is essentially a RWD car until the rear wheels break traction. (same as GT-R, and SIMILAR to Diablo VT)

edit: found this on a site -- Quote » ATESSA ETS-PRO (10 times faster torque split, also splits torque between left and right rear (whereas ATESSA-ETS just does front/rear).V-Spec sticker on the back. [/quote]so I'm not right either :D

edit 2: I should have remembered the Infiniti QX4, as it has standard Atessa, and it transfers torque from rear to front if loss of traction occurs. .

Japan will probably get attessa pro, its always better there (with exception to the STI). Maybe there would be some way to transfer the system to USDM GTR's by getting all the sensors, ecu and other junk from nissan of japan. I dunno if that would be worth it though, it would probably be really expensive to do that.

he's saying maybe you could transfer the attesa PRO system that japan will more than likely get to a regular 'attessa'd' skyline here in the u.s

doubtful. They'd probably make you pay to test drive it, and I'm sure they wouldn't let you drive it unless they check your credit history, to eliminate non-serious buyers.

not where i live, all you have to say is "my parents are buying me a new car". Except for the EVO VIII, that is the only car kids have had trouble test drving in my area, they said they want you to put a down payment on the car just to test-drive. How much BS is that?

Dress and act like you would going to a Job interview for a job you really want, and im sure you could drive anything short of a Vette. Even that you might be able to pull off if you class yourself up enough and are a smooth talker.

thats exactly what i do, and besides, when i pull up in a 'new' altima, they assume im a seious buyer, but they dont really let me drive em (im not 18, but some dont notice) and at used lots, they always ask if i want to drive the car, assuming if i drive it, ill never be able to let it go, and i 'have' to have it

Especially if its an Infiniti. Right now its a toss up between the FX35 and the Murano. How much does the FX35 cost and how much hp does it have? My pops wanted to know but hes too lazy to look for him self. He doesnt want the FX45 cuz of its price and the mileage on the V8. He also says that he doesnt need that much power.
