Good day,

Does anyone know if the M37x/G37x AWD front shaft will fit in the 2006-2010 M35x?

Mine snapped mid winter and I've since purchased two off of ebay and the spline does not fit into the transfer case all they way. I know the transfer case is A-OK because the Original Spline still slides in without any hiccups.

I simply refuse to pay $1000 for a brand new one from the dealership and I've noticed that the M37x/G37x do not seem to suffer from the same issues our cars have....and they are available used for around $100 or so....

It sure seems likely, at least for the driveshaft itself. I looked at this website and changed the vehicles and it seems part # 37200-CL70A is the correct one for many AWD sedans. I only checked the pre-11 Ms and a G.

Do you think the difference could be in the U joints? Where are you sourcing the replacements you've tried?

Also, at half the quoted price if you look online, is a brand new one still a viable option?

mac, If what you say, you have a 35 , bought a couple 37 shafts - they don't fit . You kinda answered for yourself  I'm guessing the 37 being made "Beefier" than the 35's . And I
know many shaft components LOOK similar diameter , length etc. the basics. And when designed into various models where more torque is transferred the LENGTH of the splines is the "weak-link"and -there you go. For adding more diameter adds unnecessary MASS and is assinine for a few hundred ft-lbs more - where the spline shears first. Seems like what's happening maybe deeper 37 's splines of the two "similar" axle / Diff's ?? Main point being, we all miss on occasion when trying to match / upgrading parts , the "Minutia" - Devils' in the details  G 3/28/2018
