Over the winter I rebuilt a awd ca with the intentions of converting it to RWD and intalling it in my coupe. I'm noticing a couple problems now with the intake mainfold. The placement on the RWD ca manifold has the brake booster vacuum on it while the AWD doesn't. I beleave it's right under the manifold, but i'm not to sure the Line sort of t's off. The Vac line setup is different than my RWD manifold also. But I need to know what really needs vac and what I can cap. FPR, Swril controls, Idle air, vac for the booster, wastegate. What else do I need to get her to run right. I'm hooking most up before I put her in the bay this weekend. I do not want to use my RWD manifold cause the AWD is already ported.

Thanks for the helpNate

Just pull the end cap off of the RWD mani and swap it onto the AWD manifold.

What about the booster outlet on the AWD manifold. Just cap it. It T's off into another line that the RWD manifold doesn't have. I got to get pics up or firgor out what I'm do with it my self I guess.

Just search around on these forums for pics of other peoples engines and where they have run their lines, or do a google image search for stuff like "ca18det" and "s13 ca18det".You will find everything you need

Sorry Guys new problem. I got the the left side of the engine about to bolt the motor brakets on and realized there is only 1 hole in the block out of the 3. The passenger side has all the holes though. I need to know what Size bit I need and what tap I need to make the threads in the holes I drill. Does anyone have bit of info or knowledge on this, Dee, Rafi? This mount Just pissed me off. Them intake manifold is easy stuff but drilling and tapping the block has me scared.

I'm going to try and drill it with a carbide bit and tap it. Hopefully this works. I'm going to bring one of the bolts to work tommrow and I'm pretty sure the senior techs will know what sizing I need. Wish me luck cause I'm going to drill and tap this my self in the garage. I get Pics of the build, I have some but there not uploaded yet on the comp.
