Hi, I have a Nissan Rogue 2009 and I'm trying to install this add on. You see, I have already wired everything in, as well as the module. It's all in place. What I'm having trouble is that I don't know how to program it to my OEM remote. Is there a step by step guide or a video that can show me how to program the module? The instruction book isn't making sense. If I'm not being clear, just ask me. I'll try to clarify it to the best of my ability. Thanks.

As far as I know, remotes for the Nissan Rogue do not have an "auxiliary channel", so you cannot program the OEM remote to operate a 3rd party remote start system.

Why are you trying to add a remote start that relies on the oem remote? If I understand this correctly, then your range for starting the car would only be as far as the oem key fob distance. The "intelli-key" fobs use 2 different signals. 1 for the alarm, lock and unlock buttons; and another signal(some type of encrypted passive RFID, I think) for starting up the car and unlocking from the door handles. The combination of the 2 signals and the way the module is wired is definitely going to cause some head ache. Unless you have an intelli key bypass(which would let everyone drive off with your car) or find a better way of wiring it then I dont really see it working in my head.
When I got an autostart(Viper autostart) for my Rogue, the dealership didnt want to install it. There was only 1 shop in town that would even take on the challenge, luckly it turned out good.
Sadly, the Rogue isnt that popular (compared to the Titian, and Odyessy) so resources are pretty slim for autostarts.
Call around to a few shops to see if they have successfully installed autostarts on any Rogues or newer Nissans with the Intellikey and see what they say.
IMO, a short ranged autostart is pretty useless. Heating and cooling for the Rogue takes a long time due to the, 4 cylinder, Aluminum block engine. Unless youre parking and living within 30 feet of your car, it's pretty pointless just to go outside and get within the 30 feet and wait right by it for the 5 minutes it takes to notice any heating or cooling difference. Even though the key fob says it has a range of 1000feet or whatever, there is no way you will ever be able to achieve that full distance(tests done in labs with lower atmospheric pressure, no humidity, no interference, or and obstructions). Even my Viper autostart with a 1 mile range cant achieve the reported distance but is still far enough to start my Rogue in a practical sense.

*Correction. I actually have the Clifford 20.7x (same as the second post)req-remote-start-system-recommendation-t549598.html
And by bypass, i ment leaving an extra key fob in the car, not a bypass module.

Isn't the OEM remote the same one that came with the car? The original remote when I brought the car? I'm trying to use the original remote to remote start. Sorry if I didn't use the correct term.

-Yes
-For reason I have explained: 1.The OEM key fob aka "intelli key" will not support a remote start feature by itself unless you have a module that can interpret what ever button you press as a way to start it.
2. In order for the Rogue to start up, it needs to have the actually OEM key fob within a 3 foot proximity. 3. The module interface will not work with the Rogue's startup system unless you purchase an additional bypass to plug into the module. Even then, it is hard to wire it so you can securely remote start it without letting anyone off the street come by and drive it off. 4. You need an additional key fob(autostart specific) in order to have the ability to have the module read receive and correctly interpret the broadcasted signal to start car up. The intellikey aka OEM key fob is too complicated for most signal receivers to interpret. 5. Its pretty pointless to have a remote start that relies on the OEM keyfob's range.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish with a remote start? Like are you using it for interior temperature control or do you want the ability to walk up to the car and have it start up with out turning the ignition button?
