Hey guys,
I had this head unit in an FJ for one week before trading for the Altima. I got the wiring harness to attach to factory from crutchfield. Hooked it all up. Only thing not wired in at this time is the parking brake sensor. I am getting a thump when power on as if amp is signalling through, but when unit is on no sound at all. Any ideas before I rip all this stuff out and start from scratch. I heard that there is a wire that has to be tagged in the factory wiring because of the amp. Altima was a non bose, non navi unit. Well, I figured it out myself. With all the items to be grounded Didn't have them done well enough! Also the problem was unsolved with the axxess steering wheel kit. had to use a pac. All good. Now find out that the face plate from mynissanparts.com was wrong one. So used the vin this time and told them EXACTLY what i needed. Hope it comes this time as the correct item. Until next time!
