avic f series or x series

can someone tell me if the only difference between the two series is just the software? does it make much difference which one i get? im looking for a 2din, but the kenwood dnx series are a little too much for me. any other suggestions are appreciated. im trying to decide between f700bt or x710bt. i dont really need the dvd of the 900s. thank you

there is a hardware difference with the bluetooth i believe and also a faster processor so i would go with the updated version of course you should see the older ones at a much cheaper price
