I have a 1993 S13 Fastback with an auto transmission in it right now. Curious to see how much the install runs on average for you folks that have done it before. Maybe approximate time it took as well?

Thanks!

Only $200?

Would you need anything else besides the manual transmission, flywheel, and all the clutch/master/slave cylinders, pedals?

search, there's a website devoted to this swap, and yes, there is more to it than that. Unfortunately I lost the url.

check out heavy throttle's webpage. They've got a good walkthrough on the AT to MT swap. The driveshafts are expensive though. I'm doing a SR swap but my 180's an AT, so I too am looking at a new driveshaft and all that other crap. NOTE: AT driveshaft is too short for the 5spd transmission.

If ur getting a clip..u can transplant most of the parts to ur own car for the auto to manual conversion..maybe all u will have to do is buy the pressure line..and maybe the master/slave cylinder

Thanks for your help folks. :)

I might look into trading my 240 for a manual or selling and buying a manual... but it's kinda hard to find another 240 fastback with only 97k on it & in good condition. =(

Ya even San Diego isn't the best place to find a used, clean 240sx hatch for sale with low miles. :(

I settled for a 90' Hatch with auto and am torn between doing the manual swap now, or waiting till next year when I want to do the RB25 engine/transmission swap..

The KA24E just doesn't have enough guts for that dog of an auto transmission... :(
