Just wondering what you guys paid to get springs installed, or about the average price it would cost to get them installed with front camber bolts and rear pillow mounts, including alignment

thanks in advance

i don't know about all the camber bolts and alignment and stuff, but i got an estimant on getting my springs/shocks installed. frikin 300 bucks. i aint goin there. i have a guy that can do it free, but its hard to get ahold of him. i guess i'll just wait till i can get him to do it. supposedly takes 5 hours to do it all, thats why its 300 bucks. i was like yea, right. maybe it does take 5 hours, but jeez.......

Free, I put my pro-kit, and AGXs on myself. It was easy. Took maybe 2hrs? I can't remember, but it didn't take too long, plus its goes pretty fast when you have a friend help with the install. This was both our first time doing a suspension instal and nothing went wrong.

free

go rent a spring compressor. my local autozone rents them and then gives you your $$$ back when you return the part:D . if you don't have a manual then buy one also.

if you can change your oil, you can change your springs. plus you know the job was done right.

good luck

if ya have a camber kit and shocks/struts, its going to cost more for install than what you paid for everything in general :( if you're strapped, just level with a friend. try to find someone you know that can do it, and tell them you'll give them $50, or buy them a case of beer or something.my friend has a pimped VW GTI, and everytime he needs something, he comes and asks my dad. then just gives him a bottle of crown royal when its over.

If I were you I would try and do it your self. Suspension is easy, I put my Teins on last night in no more than 2 hours, but that was the full assembly I didn't have to compress the springs or anything. But even that isn't hard and doesn't take to long to do. I have pics of my install, so if your interested in doing it yourself send me an e-mail, and I can write up detailed instructions with pics for you. also what type of camber kit did you get? Is it camber plates? if so those are easy also. well let me know.

hey, thanks guys!

:)

the springs are used, so I figure they will need to be compressed. So far I was quoted $490 CAD, which is about $$150 more than I payed for the stuff!!

I'm also going to need an alignment, no way around that, but I suppose if I get the springs and camber kit in, that would only cost a $100 max.

dcmetro, the rear pillow mounts is what i am refering to, they go over the shock I believe. I have a limited number of tools, as well as know how on suspension components, but I like to get my hands dirty and learn. I'll be emailing you shortly

thanks again guys!

Pimpin,

They rear pillow mount is no big deal, It replaces the stock top spring seat. Nothing hard there because you have to take that off to change the springs anyway. The new springs should not have to be compressed, depending on how much lower the lowering spring is then the stock one. What type of springs are they anyway?

they are sprint lowering springs, and they are used, so I figure they should be compressed, right? Are the rear pillow mounts specific to the drivers side/pass. side? Thanks for your help man, I figure you should post the pics on this board, just to help out future members.
