My auxiliary fan (the one between the engine fan and the radiator) came unhitched or something, and because it rattled around every time I turned the A/C on, I pulled it out until I can fix it or find another one.

Now, I'm about to drive 4 hours each way to the beach, preferably with the A/C on most of the time. Is this a horrible idea? What should I watch out for? Just the temperature gauge? All I removed was the 1-piece white plastic fan blades.

Thanks! Fast answers are good, I'm leaving tomorrow night. =)

I put a Koyo radiator in my 95, and the added thickness caused my clutch fan to eat the wires up on the condensor fan. I just unplugged it and pulled out the cut harness. It's been like that for a few weeks, and the only problem is when you sit in traffic, there isn't enough airflow over the condensor to keep the A/C blowing cold. I'm putting in electric fans soon, so for now it works as-is. If you need a fan, I've got an extra two wire model. Let me know.
