auxilary fan?

for some reason when my mechanic removed my ac he also removed the auxilary fan and now im slightly overheating. should i just get a higher powered fan to put on the radiator or should i just put the old one back on? or both??

Usually the aux fan doesnt kick on unless the A/C is being used or your sitting still. If that was what was keeping you cool i would suggest just getting the Aux Fan back, if not, then maybe a new Radiator with hoses.

^This is good advice. Usually the Aux fan only kicks on at a very specific temperature and speed, so it's usually not going to make a difference in the overall "major" cooling of the car.

You should also make sure your main fan is still functioning properly. With the engine cold, try to spin the fan. It should spin freely. Warm the engine up to operating condition, turn the car off, and try to spin it. It shouldn't spin very far at all. If it spins the same as it did cold, then the fan clutch is bad.
