I was looking into tapping into my car stereo to play my iPod. My Altima is a 2005 model year, 2.5 S. I checked both owner and service manuals. Neither mentioned an auxiliary audio input for my car. In most cases from what I've seen in other cars if the factory does not include an aux input you can usually put an aux input adapter in yourself. Then tap your iPod into that. Well when I went to go have one put in the guy told me they don't make them for my car. Did anyone else have a similar issue when trying to connect to their car stereo? I can't imagine my Nissan not having this capability.

In my 2001 Civic, I had an adapter that plugged into the back of the factory stereo where the factory CD changer would get plugged into (which I didn't have). And on the other end of the adapter was RCA inputs. I got it off of Crutchfield and it was around $50.

I just checked Crutchfield.com and they don't list anything for an 05 Altima. Try calling Crutchfield, they might be able to recommend something. Your only option may be the wireless FM modulators.

Either that or go to Best Buy or some other car audio place and ask them. I would be more inclined to take my radio apart just to see what it looks like from the back. A quick check of the FSM and there is nothing that talks about an aux audio jack.bud

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.
